Chevrolet has been creating trucks that offer much in the way of performance and capability for over a century now, and that tradition is going to continue with the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado lineup. The truck is going to offer a mighty selection of engine options, but that is not all you can expect from the latest version of this popular pickup. Chevrolet is rolling out a number of different features for the Silverado this year. What new equipment is available on the 2019 Chevy Silverado? Let’s take a look.

New packages and equipment

The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado will be available in eight trims: Work Truck, Custom, Custom Trail Boss (4×4 only), LT, RST, LT Trail Boss (4×4 only), LTZ, and High Country. Whichever trim you decide upon, there are a number of different new features available.

Most notably, perhaps, is the Z71 Off-road Equipment Package now being available on all models (standard on the Trail Boss trims). This exciting package includes such features as electronic hill descent control, a heavy-duty air filter to better handle the dirt and dust kicked up by off-road driving, special off-road-tuned Rancho™ twin-tube shocks, a two-speed transfer case with automatic locking rear differential, dual exhaust outlets, and 18-inch wheels paired with all-terrain tires.

New advanced active-safety features will also be on the offering, including Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Front Pedestrian Braking, Forward Collision Alert and Following Distance Indicator, and more.

Of course, in this day and age, top-notch technology is a must. The 2019 Silverado will offer such advanced technology as a rear camera mirror, Surround Vision, an eight-inch configurable information center for the driver, and a General Motors-exclusive 3×7-inch head-up display that can be configured based on what the driver wishes to see there.

The 2019 Chevy Silverado will be available in late 2018.
