Breast cancer is something which, sadly, affects many people and their families in today’s world. As you may know, October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and that gives everyone a chance to give an extra push to help research and battle breast cancer, so it may one day be completely defeated once and for all. How is Chevrolet helping to fight breast cancer? Read ahead for some of the initiatives.

Chevy Support for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

Chevrolet will offer up a few different contributions to the cause, particularly with its new marketing platform that focuses on the needs of communities, called Chevy Cares.

“We know that when we support causes that our employees, dealers and consumers are passionate about it helps bring communities together. We are proud to roll out Chevy Cares as a unifying effort that will allow us and our dealers to do even more in the communities where we live and work, including building on the success of our partnership with the American Cancer Society to raise even more awareness and financial support for breast cancer research.” – Paul Edwards, U.S. vice president, Chevrolet Marketing.

With the #IDriveFor social media campaign, every post on Twitter or Instagram that uses the hashtag #IDriveFor this month will prompt a $5 contribution from Chevy, up to a total of $400,000. Chevrolet will also donate $350 (up to a total of $50,000) for every caution lap that is taken by the pink Chevrolet Camaro SS Pace Car during two races this month. Employees of Chevrolet and GM will also participate in walks to benefit the fight against breast cancer, and dealership walks will also be taking place. You can find out more about these walks and how Chevrolet is contributing to the cause by clicking here.

We are proud to be a Chevrolet dealer and proud to support such a noble cause.
