2019 CHEVY COLORADO ZR2 BISON OFF-ROAD EQUIPMENT
Any pickup truck driver will tell you that part of the fun of owning such a vehicle is the ability to take it off the road and into adventure. The Chevrolet Colorado has earned a reputation for off-roading in great fashion, and Chevrolet is going to take the Colorado and amp it up for even more off-roading capabilities with the new Colorado ZR2 Bison. Let’s take a look at the 2019 Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison off-road equipment that will take this truck to the next level.
Well-equipped for adventures off the beaten path
This new performance variant of the popular Colorado lineup is a first for Chevy, as it is the automaker’s first collaboration with American Expedition Vehicles (AEV), which is one of the top off-road aftermarket manufacturers out there. Essentially, the Chevy Colorado ZR2 Bison is a combination of two great tastes that will taste great together.

The Bison includes five skid plates constructed from durable Boron steel that cover the engine oil pan, fuel tank, transfer case, and front and rear locking differentials in order to protect the most important undercarriage elements from rough terrain. The truck also features stamped steel front and rear bumpers designed by AEV to offer even more protection from off-roading obstacles.
The grille design includes flow-through CHEVROLET lettering rather than the bowtie emblem, and the truck sits atop 31-inch Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac off-road tires that wrap around ZR2 Bison 17×8-inch aluminum wheels. The modified rear axle with its 3.42 ratio and factory-suspension lift of 2 inches compared to the Colorado Z71 completes the off-road customization.
The ZR2 Bison offers up items that are also found in the Colorado ZR2, which include cast-iron control arms, off-road rocker protection, Multimatic DSSV™ dampers, an Autotrac transfer case, and more.
This impressive performance truck goes on sale in January 2019.
