Does Amazon Deliver to Chevy models?
We have advanced so much as a civilization that we can reach into our pockets, swipe a touchscreen, tap a button or two, and expect a package at our front door in two days. Even then, having a package quickly delivered to your door still has some drawbacks, particularly if you have to leave it sit there for an extended period of time. What if you could have your packages delivered to your car while you're at work or school? That's exactly what can happen with Amazon Key In-Car Delivery if you own a General Motors vehicle. Does Amazon deliver to Chevy models? The answer is yes, for select models. If you drive a Chevrolet from model year 2015 or later and have an active OnStar account, you might be able to take advantage.
How Amazon Key In-Car Delivery works with Chevrolet
Amazon Prime members living in 37 select cities and surrounding areas (with more cities to come) can participate in this new initiative by downloading the Amazon Key App and use it to synchronize their Amazon and OnStar accounts. Once that is configured properly and the location for delivery has been selected, it's just a matter of shopping as normal and then selecting the "In-Car" delivery option when checking out. The locations can be changed or adjusted at any time. When it is time to deliver your package, you will receive a notification from the app saying your item is on its way. Then, once it has been delivered to your vehicle, you will receive another notification indicating that this has been completed.
"Partnering with Amazon to leverage our embedded in-vehicle connectivity gives Chevrolet, Buick, GMC and Cadillac owners the option to conveniently receive deliveries inside their vehicle parked at home, work, or near other locations in their Amazon address book. This is another example of how we provide customers with technologies that add value and enhance the ownership experience." - Alan Batey, President, General Motors North America.
What do you think of this service? Do you intend to use it? It's quite handy if you plan to be away from your home all day and prefer not to have valuable packages sitting outside during this time.
